What is Embion

In 2018 30.76 mio DKK was allocated to EMBION from the Ministry of Research – funded from Danish Roadmap for Research Infrastrucutures, 2015.

EMBION is a new cryo-EM consortium between Danish Universities (AU host and KU co-host).

Planned start of National Cryo-EM Facility at AU (iNANO) primo 2019 (using existing electron microscopes and facilities).

Purchase of a new high-end electron microscopes is planned: 300 keV cryo-transmission electron microscope with Direct Electron Detector.

Installation of the new microscope is planned for Q2 2020.
